Shanell Latta
Speech Language Pathologist
Shanell is a licensed speech-language pathologist, who has spent the last 15 years in special education. She earned her Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology from The University of Montana in 2014. Prior to pursuing her degree in speech-language pathology, Shanell practiced as an ABA therapist under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, as a paraprofessional in a special education preschool, and as a speech aide in a K-8 setting.
Shanell’s passion is working with neurodivergent children and teens, including those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, nonverbal learning disabilities, ADHD, and social communication disorders. In 2016 Shanell began working with various teams across Northwest Montana as a trained administrator of the ADOS-2 and in 2019 became an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP). She also has an extensive background in school-based behavioral interventions.
Shanell’s philosophy includes using strength-based interventions with a deep respect for neurodivergence and understanding that we do not all see the world in the same way. Her ultimate goal is helping her students become the best version of themselves.
Shanell lives in the beautiful Flathead Valley with her partner and two kids. When she is not working with children, she enjoys taking advantage of the outdoors, including rafting, kayaking, and camping. Shanell will be serving as an SLP at Seeley Lake Elementary and Swan Valley Elementary this fall.
